5 out of 5 stars Tony does it again   January 6, 2009
Judith S. West (new york)

The fact is that Tony Bennett is a phenomenon He has maintained his career with the same vitality at his advanced age that he had when he was young.

This new album bears this out. He sings great! He swings great! And the band and his fine group are great!

Christmas is over but I'll play this CD for the whole new year.

4 out of 5 stars A new take on some old favorites   January 3, 2009
Robert Cowper (NJ, USA)
I'm a young listener, but I grew up with a huge Tony Bennett fan. I got this CD as a gift for my mother and I think I like it more than she does!

If you're looking for his traditional christmas sounds, this isn't for you. But, the songs are fun and easy to listen to. Great to put on in the background during the family meal or during presents or something.

5 out of 5 stars A GREAT CHRISTMAS ADDITION   December 29, 2008
R. Mason (Newcastle, Australia)
Saw Tony Bennett talk about his 'A Swinging Christmas' on The View. It is a very good addition to anyone's library if they like good singing and good big band music in the Count Basie style. For 82 this man is a smash and I hope I'm as good at 82 as he is. Just wonderful. Thank you Mr Bennett!!

P.S. Just love 'I'll Be Home For Christmas".

5 out of 5 stars The Master Celebrates the Season   December 24, 2008
Suzanne in Charlotte
The voice is a little dry but Tony Bennett's enormous warmth and humanity shines in every gem-like song on this cd. I believe that's called "genius" when coupled with ageless talent and artistry such as his. Impeccable musicianship from singer and all the band: you can feel their great camraderie. This cd is like a necklace of rubies and emeralds strung together perfectly to glow through the winter season it celebrates. The short dvd feature is fun to watch. There can never be too much Tony Bennett!

5 out of 5 stars The best gets better   December 24, 2008
J. A. Marrella (Marlton, NJ)
When you couple the aristry of Bennett and the creativity of Basie, you get a blockbuster!

Buy it, listen to it, give it to your friends!
